In accordance with Gov. Reeves Executive Order, face masks are required to be worn while entering and exiting the Y and while moving throughout the facility in all common areas. This is an effort to keep everyone safe and allow the Y to stay open.

MASKS MAY BE REMOVED WHILE EXERCISING AT 6 FT SOCIAL DISTANCE.

Our staff and entire Y family have been preparing and getting ready to reopen under a new normal. Blossman Family YMCA Phase 1 Reopening will begin Wednesday, May 13, 2020 (see below for Tradition members)!

Blossman Y Hours of Operation:

We will temporarily have adjusted hours of operation for YMCA Phase I: 75% of facility capacity

  • Monday-Friday 5:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Sunday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

It will look and feel different in our branches due to the new social distancing guidelines in place. In preparation, all of our branches are receiving a supply of cleaning materials, personal protective equipment, sneeze guards and safety posters. We are ready to welcome you back!

Tradition Y Members:

The Tradition YMCA Phase 1 Reopening will begin Friday, May 15, 2020. The outdoor pool will open to Tradition HOA members only and YMCA members on May 22nd.

Tradition Y Hours of Operation:

We will temporarily have adjusted hours of operation for YMCA Phase I: 75% of facility capacity

  • Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 12:00 pm; 3:00 to 8:00 pm
  • Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • Closed Sunday

Blossman Y Reopening Guidelines

Since our reopening on May 13th, we are excited to announce we are able to release some of our previous restrictions as we gradually get back to our new normal! We want to keep our members safe and protected while they use our facilities, so we are following strict guidelines from Governor Reeves latest Executive Order No. 1525, CDC and state authorities

Blossman Family YMCA Phase III Changes in Our Facility:

  • Members must maintain minimum of 6 feet distance.
  • The number of members in the gym will be limited to no greater than 75% of facility capacity.
  • All staff will wear personal protective equipment (masks and gloves).
  • Locker rooms will reopen October 12th to all members.
  • No towel services.
  • Coffee will not be available.
  • Members are not required to wear masks, but encouraged to do so.
  • Members must disinfect equipment before and after use.
  • Members are encouraged to wash hands before and after working out with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Increased signage throughout the building to encourage social distance, hand-washing and remind members to disinfect equipment.

Group Fitness Class:

  • Members must maintain minimum of 6 feet distance.
  • The number of members in the group fitness classes will be posted at each fitness room entrance.
  • Reservations taken at this time for certain classes.]
  • Members may arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before class time.
  • Members must wipe down all equipment after class.
  • Personal space for each participant is clearly marked in 6 x 8 square areas when applicable.
  • Bring personal mat, towel, and water bottle.

Indoor Pool:

  • Members must maintain minimum of 6 feet distance.
  • Lap swimming will be limited to 20 members at a time, including lifeguards.
  • Reservations required, up to 48 hours in advance.
  • Time in the pool area will be limited 1 hour.
  • Members that require assistance may schedule up to 2 hours and are asked to use the outer lanes.
  • If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please cancel your reservation at least 2 hours in advance (8 hours if your reservation starts at 6am) so that others can participate.
  • Members more than 15 minutes late for reservations are considered a no-show and will forfeit their reserved lane.
  • No time extensions will be given.
  • Repeated cancellations, late arrivals and no-show are subject to temporary loss of lane reservation privileges.We will have controlled access to the pool area through one entrance.
  • Please be prepared for potential pool closures due to thunder/lightning or chemical balancing.

Outdoor Pool: Closed for the Winter

  • Members must maintain minimum of 6 feet distance.
  • The number of members in the pool deck area will be limited to 50 members at a time, including lifeguards.
  • Reservations not required.
  • Locker rooms will open October 12th.
  • We will have controlled access to the pool area through one entrance.
  • Please be prepared for potential pool closures due to thunder/lightning or chemical balancing.

We will continue to review these guidelines regularly and communicate changes through email, our website and social media to meet federal, state and local guidelines. We will continue providing virtual resources for our members who are still sheltering at home.

Childwatch

We are excited to announce that CHILDWATCH will reopen June 8 at the Blossman and Tradition YMCA branches. 

We can’t wait to welcome back your kiddos with lots of fun and engaging activities in a safe environment and will continue to follow strict guidelines from Governor Reeves Executive Order No. 1480, CDC and state authorities.

Blossman Y Childwatch

We will temporarily have adjusted hours of operation for the Blossman YMCA Childwatch Phase II:

  • Monday-Friday 7:45 am to 12:00 pm
  • Monday-Thursday 3:00 to 8:00 pm
  • Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Closed Sunday

Reopening Guidelines

  • Limited capacity to meet CDC recommendations on ratios of caregivers to children.
  • Total capacity: 30 children.
  • No reservations needed. There is a two-hour per child, per day limit.
  • Walking children only – no infants.
  • No diapering – all children must be out of diapers or pull-up training pants to attend at this time.
  • Daily wellness screenings, including temperature checks, for staff and participants. Children with a fever or symptoms of illness will not be permitted to stay.
  • If your child has experience flu-like symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has symptoms, please keep them home.
  • Staff will be wearing personal protective equipment (masks).
  • We will have controlled access to Childwatch through one entrance at the outdoor pool gate (west end of back parking lot).
  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of hard surfaces, high traffic areas, and touch points throughout each day.
  • We have removed many toys and items that cannot be easily cleaned. Please bring only the essentials with your child. No outside toys or electronic devices; no food. A beverage in a sealed cup only.
  • Bathrooms will be sanitized after each use.
  • Additional hand sanitizing stations will be added throughout the site.
  • Children who develop a fever or symptoms of illness will be removed from the group and a parent/guardian will be contacted for immediate pick-up. Cleaning protocols will be immediately implemented in any area the child was in.

Tradition Y Childwatch

We will temporarily have adjusted hours of operation for the Tradition YMCA Childwatch Phase II:

  • Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Monday-Thursday 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
  • Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Closed Sunday
